Invisalign® Clear Aligners
Living with crooked teeth can be frustrating. It can affect your smile’s appearance, your confidence, and even your oral health. Fortunately, Invisalign clear aligners offer a discreet, comfortable alternative that helps you achieve the smile you’ve always wanted. At Signature Smiles of LA, we’re here to guide you through the process until you reach your goal of a perfectly aligned, even smile.
How Does Invisalign Treatment Work?
Invisalign uses custom-made, clear aligners to straighten teeth without traditional metal braces. The aligners are virtually invisible, making them ideal for adults and older teens who want a subtler way to improve their smile..
Dr. Mahooti and our dental team are invested in the success of your treatment. We will guide you every step of the way as you watch your Invisalign aligners correct tooth misalignment and bite issues.
Evaluation and Planning
Your Invisalign journey begins with Dr. Sheila Mahooti, our Invisalign dentist in Encino. She will evaluate your smile and discuss your goals to see if Invisalign is right for you.
Using advanced digital impressions and imaging technology, Dr. Mahooti creates a personalized treatment plan that maps out the precise movements of your teeth throughout the process. You’ll even be able to preview your new smile before treatment begins!
How to Wear Invisalign Aligners
You’ll wear your custom-made aligners for 20 to 22 hours daily. Remove the aligners only to eat, drink, brush, and floss. You’ll wear each set for about two weeks then switch to the next set in the series. As treatment progresses, you’ll see and feel the difference as you watch your teeth gradually shift into proper alignment.
Check-In Appointments and Treatment Length
Regular check-ins every six to eight weeks allow Dr. Mahooti to ensure treatment proceeds as planned. Invisalign treatment times can be as short as six months; however, the average is 12 to 18 months.
What Issues Does Invisalign Correct?
Invisalign clear aligners can address a variety of bite and alignment issues, including:
- Crowded or crooked teeth
- Gaps between teeth
- Mild to moderate overbites and underbites
- Crossbites
- Open bites
For more advanced orthodontic issues, Dr. Mahooti may recommend traditional braces to achieve the best results.
