Dental Implants

Missing teeth can create daily frustrations, affecting everything from your confidence to your ability to eat comfortably. But this doesn't have to be your story. Signature Smiles offers dental implants in Encino to help you reclaim your smile and quality of life.

How Does a Dental Implant Work?

Dental implants are a long-lasting tooth replacement that provides a stable foundation for chewing, speaking, and smiling confidently. By integrating with your jawbone, an implant stops bone loss, protects remaining teeth, and supports facial structure to avoid a sunken or aged appearance.

A dental implant is an innovative tooth replacement consisting of three pieces:

  • The Implant Post — An implant is a small screw-like post our periodontist places surgically in the jawbone. Over the next several months, bone and tissue surround and fuse with the post as it heals, known as osseointegration, creating a strong foundation for a replacement tooth, such as a crown, bridge, or denture.
  • The Abutment — After implant healing, we attach a small connector called an abutment to the top of the implant post, connecting the implant to the replacement tooth.
  • The Restoration — In the final step, we securely attach a custom crown, bridge, or denture to the abutment. Our dental lab customizes your restoration to match the color, shape, and size of surrounding teeth for a seamless, natural-looking result.

Our dental implant team, led by board-certified periodontist Dr. Tina Jung and restorative dentist Dr. Sheila Mahooti, is committed to providing personalized solutions that cater to your needs.

Why Are Implants Considered the Gold Standard

The "gold standard" refers to the best of the best, and when you look at the benefits, it's easy to see how dental implants have earned that reputation.

Success Rate

Dental implants have been used for decades and boast a success rate of up to 98 percent, making them one of the most reliable tooth replacement options available.

Long-Lasting

Unlike other tooth replacement options, dental implants are designed to last a lifetime with proper care, making them a great investment in your long-term oral health.

Natural Look & Feel

Dental implants are custom-crafted to blend seamlessly with your natural teeth. The result is a realistic-looking restoration that lets you smile, speak, and laugh confidently.

Improved Chewing

Dental implants restore full chewing power so that you can enjoy a variety of healthy, delicious foods without the worry of removable dentures shifting or slipping.

Unmatched Stability

Because we anchor dental implants securely into your jawbone, they provide a level of stability that other tooth replacement options simply can’t match.

Jawbone Health

After tooth loss, the surrounding bone gradually begins to deteriorate. Dental implants stimulate the jawbone just like a natural tooth root, helping prevent bone loss.
